About the role:

We are seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our software development and deployment processes. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of software development methodologies, cloud technologies, and automation tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize our development workflow and ensure a seamless integration of our applications with the cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with software development teams to design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Assist and improve the existing infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases, to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure efficient and reliable release processes.
• Automate routine tasks to streamline and improve operational efficiency.
• Implement security best practices to protect the integrity and confidentiality of our systems and data.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the DevOps and cloud space and make recommendations for process improvements.

Knowledge Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role.
• Solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies and familiar with any of the development language.
• Proficiency with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD), Nginix webserver.
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualification

• Relevant certifications in cloud computing or DevOps.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
• Knowledge of logging and log management tools (e.g., ELK stack).
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate tasks and processes.
